I read the comment from Beggingforrelief and I wanted to respond briefly. Now I do not work in your office so I do not know what is going on exactly, so I am not coming at you in that manner. Also,I am not trying to come at you like I am so holy and righteous, I am just sharing life experience. Having said that--Promotion comes from God not a supervisor. I would encourage everyone, not just you, to look to God for promotion if that is what you desire, instead of your boss. And in due season, if you believe and trust in God and are doing what it right as it pertains to what God has told you, he will greatly reward you. I hope this will bless you.

I read in the Hattiesburg American that Mr. Davis will not support Betsy Rowell for mayor. I understand that he is disappointed about the outcome of the primary. But if he is true to his word that he said Mayor DuFairley is not the person to run the city, I wish he and Betsy would get together and work on improving Hattiesburg by getting Johnny out. As a city employee who is trying to stay below the Fairley/Dupree intimadation tactics ( I would like to keep my job) I feel that Betsy needs Lee Jarrel to supprot and offer his advice to her campaign. Hattiesburg is a great city and a good place to work. The problems that affect us is the lack of leadership (or vision) that we have endured for the past 4 years. More and more supervisior and directors have been hired or promoted over current employees that have been dedicated to the city and are more qualified. Most of the new hires and/or promotions have been based on race or who you know instead of being qualified to help the city. Please unit and vote for a change in City Hall so that the hardworking employees won't have to be subjected to a hostile work environment of an uncertain future.
i posted this on another blog, but i feel the comments are worth repeating here. so - pardon the dejavu.

well with the primaries over, i would like to humbly ask for a unified vote for betsy rowell or against johnny. we can not afford to let pride stand in the way of unity for the good of the community. in the coming weeks, please weigh the price of inaction or non-participation on election day. the die has been cast, but it has not been set yet. let's put differences aside and make sure that johnny does not have four more years to run hattiesburg into the ground.
