ok so who else here is a fan of Grey's Anatomy? I got hooked on this show with the episode about the bomb that came on after the super bowl. Then this past weekend I watched season one...and now im absolutely addicted!

Can anyone tell me what happened at the beginning of this season, like i said, i came in sort of half way and so i have a gap between season one and now...any insight would be great!

I want Grey and Sheppard to get back together...but poor George..he is so goofy by the way!

Grey's is my favorite show as well.....to catch up you can go to their website and it will fill you in on all past episodes. Sorry I'm not puter savvy enough to post the page??? And YES....Meridith and Derek should be together...I know it's not right to break up marriage (and Derek is trying so hard to do the right thing)....but....sorry, this time I'm for the Other woman...!!! Check out the history of the show and everyone should agree...

silly me..i didnt even think to look on the website...but yeah i totally agree with this marriage he is in...after i finished watching the first season i was like what?!?!?! - and he likes her so much you can just see it...but that wife of his...she needs to go back to new york or whereever she came from!

If I had the money, I would gladly buy her ticket!!.....Also, the story line with Meridith's mother is a good one. And each of the other characters all have good story lines in past episodes......Really, really, great show!!!!! Glad you started watching....I sure don't want this one to cancel any time soon......Hopefully years to come!

well it has officially become the most watched show on sunday nights...and is slowly taking the place of desparate housewives...which is sad bc i like that one too!

George was cracking me up, too. I dunno about Alex. It is understandable, I think. He likes Izzy, but he can't figure out how to appropriately express that. So, he sabotages her other relationship (although in a sick way, I think he's because he's trying to save her some hurt) and then takes out his aggression on George.

Addison doesn't bother me so much. I think she's like most women who was just looking some affection. Derrick was not blameless in that relationship, and she's just trying to do the best she can.

Sorry folks, hate to disappoint you. But Grey's Anatomy has underwhelmed me from the start. The most interesting relationships it barely even covers to focus on the superficial Dr.McDreamy and boring Meredith.

This season the writing has improved to introducing plots that are left of centre compared to the straightforward suds on ER. But, I enjoyed those weird twists when given to weird characters on Chicago Hope.

Still, the relationship between Isaiah Washington and Sandra Oh is fascinating to watch..and since I'm a big fan of hers, I continue to watch on and off.

Sorry, don't hold it against me. My hospital show is Scrubs. You should be watching Veronica Mars, now there's a show with grrrreat female lead.

Grey's Anatomy is a fabulous show. It's one of the few shows I set my cable box to remind me about every week. I love how "dry" Sandra Oh's character, Christina, is about everthing. I especially loved the part of the post-Superbowl episode where she just about drags Meredith out of bed. Priceless. Oh, yeah, let's not forget the second part of that episode where Bailey tells George to stop looking at her va jay jay... too funny. They seem to come up with a lot of new "catch phrases" on this show. The writers are phenom!

They are pretty much trying to run the reruns so that they have available the "new cool ones" during the sweeps month to get the good ratings. The next new one will be on April 2. This will be the first episode that Chris O'Donnell starts his guest starring stint. I can't wait.

omgoodness..i didnt know chris odonnel was gonna be on there! goodness..this show keeps getting better and better...but they can touch dreamy...hes just so fun to look at. and i just realized alex is the guy who played on the wedding planner which is one of my fav. movies...i love his "buddy buddy" line...! thanks for the suggestion...im not sure if im gonna look at it..but curiosity might get the best of me lol

again..i was sort of happy to see an old episode since i havnt seen them yet! the "special episode" on april 23rd is a recap of all the shows....they are doing the same thing for desparate housewives so if you've missed there's your chance. Chris O'Donnell is on the line up so you may get a glimpse of him!!

Thought that the new episode was great tonight! So glad that Meredith is dating the vet... shocked when McDreamy walked in though... why does that have to happen? Izzy and the Denny are so weird to me. He is so old and tired looking, and she is so young and pretty. Oh well... Next week's episode looks good too!

Good episode......but can we say Derek only went back to fool around with his wife cause he was upset about seeing Meridith at the vet's place? And what about those previews for next week??? He has the gall to call her the whore? To me they are portraying him to seem like the guy that wants his cake and eat it too. He won't be with Meridith, but doesn't want her to be happy or be with anyone else. Don't get me wrong, I still hope and pull for them to end up together......but the road will be rocky to say the least.

Not last nite, but the Sunday before, George came into the kitchen (I think) where Izzy was sitting by herself.....she looks up and sees him and his new girlfriend and he just real nonchalantly says...."We stayed at (what her name's) place last nite so we thought we would stayed here at my room tonite".....Izzy gets this confused look on her face and then tells George, "oh, okay".....George played it like nothing had ever happened and Izzy did a real good job with her expressions like "what twilight zone did george fall out of" but very gracious welcome him home........Don't mean to make such long post, but I have got to agree with the stuff you say about Derek...I agree on the looks, get back with Meridith, and he is starting to bug me, too....being a real jerk seems like at times...Did love the entire speech Meridith gave him last nite also!!!!

I think Derrick is like many of the guys I have met, he does what he thinks is "the right thing" and isn't happy about it, but feels like whoever he left will still be waiting around for him in case things don't work out. I think he's finally realizing what he gave up and its really hurting him that Meredith is moving on. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't feel sorry for him, that's just my take on the situation. Some of the guys I've met always think the "grass is greener on the other side" but find out that what they had wasn't worth giving up as easily as they did.

I don't know that's particularly a guy trait. I think most of us--male or female--do that whole what-if-if-only thing and take what we have for granted.

I liked Meredith's "you don't get to call me a whore" statement. Particularly as he's the one who cheated on his wife. He's got no room to take the moral high ground with her.

Because he does want her. He just doesn't have the balls to actually do something about it, and despite the fact that his wife cheated on him and he had a revenge affair, he doesn't want to be seen as the "bad guy" in the situation. So he stays and screws with the emotions of both Meredith *and* Addison.

sf222, I totally agree with all your above posts on this....even though it is all written in the script....the characters are really bringing out the underlying tones of their emotions with this storyline. You can see the turmoil Derek is in and he lets it be known he is hurting but then he says and does things that make you want to talk to the t.v and say "jerk".

OH MY GOSH!!! I was totally glued to the TV on Sunday and Monday nights. Last night's finale was so good.

I don't know what to think about Meredith and McDreamy ... he really upsets her and I think in the end he will choose Addison. It's too bad b/c Fin is so perfect for her. I am kind of glad that Denny died. I was getting tired of Izzy and her crazy obsessiveness over him. It is awesome that they all stuck together and none of them budged on telling on Izzy. Especially crazy dude who went with Burke to get the heart (name escapes me right now). I thought for sure he would tell. Also, I was a little confused about Christine and Burke during the show, but was glad that she chose to go in and be with him at the end.

I am so going to miss new episodes on Sunday nights... what will I do with myself?

OH my gosh! times two!
So I was glued to the tv. I too am glad that Denny is gone. It was just too weird. Also, i thought it was touching that Izzy and Karev were in the embrace at the end since she left him for Denny and he has been jealous ever since. I think they are the "love" interest to watch next season. I think Christina will become more human. I loved how the chief brought them all in his office and basically became their shrink. They all just unloaded their crap on him. I also liked that Addison had a breakdown. It makes her human too. basically- Fin is awesome- and Meridith is going to hurt him for McDreamy and I am not going to like her character for it. I could see the writing on the wall. I will be so mad if next season she is with McDreamy. She will seem like a villain - chewing up men and spitting them out. She took it slow with him just to get him reeled in - I was not happy about them hooking up in the end. I was not rooting for the relationship if you can tell.

I love this show. I also watch desperate housewives. After this week that show will be gone. When Lost and Invasion are gone- I will have no shows on tv anymore. I think American Idol will wrap up around the same time. What to do? I guess I will have some of that free time I have been complaining about not having.

ooooo my goodnesss...that is all i can say after last night... lol..it seemed they just released this full blown bomb of story lines last night! i am sad to see denny died, even though his and izzy's relationship was very weird..there was just something about him that i really liked. im sorry but i really dont like callie and george together - they just dont fit..and would someone please mess up his hair!!! lol..its too 50's like. alex is a jerk but was really sweet in teh end when he picked izzy up and held her. WHAT THE HECK WAS MEREDITH THINKING????????????????? this is is how season one ended..derrick had to choose, now meredith has to choose. i mean ok - how anyone could not tell that they still love each other but its sad that fin is now caught up in this. grrr..so do yall think izzy will come back next season????

i think she will. she is too attached to the rest of the "clique" and she is roommates with them, so she can't avoid it. i think her actions will be excused and she will come back.

i like callie and george together! i think it is cute :-) however, i agree with you, iheart, on the hair thing. lol!

meredith would be stupid to choose derrick. she needs to choose fin! when derrick was faced with a choice, he didn't pick her. and I am really upset with her for doing that at the end of the show, but he did initiate it by kissing her. she's just this lost little puppy with no clue of who to run to - fin or mcdreamy?

Season 2 for Grey's Anatomy is scheduled for release on September 12, 2006 and is available for preorder on Amazon.com for $59.99. I don't know if I can wait that long. I, too, was a little "weirded out" by the whole Izzy and Denny relationship but I think Katherine Heigl is a superb actress. I really enjoyed the finale and I think Shonda Rhimes is a GENIUS!:smt038

HEY GA FANS..THEY ARE SHAKING UP OUR SUNDAYS! - looks as though Grey's Anatomy will be moving to THursday nights next fall to go head to head against CSI. But i cant find the announcement anywhere on ABC i just heard it on tv and found it here on e online news...what do you guys think about this shakeup??

I'm not sure if I agree with the move to Thursdays. It seems pretty risky to put Grey's up against CSI.

Wow...Wow...Wow....on the season finale, on the season finale again and the news of moving to Thursday nights. I was actually surprised there isn't a "C.S.I." thread on here. It used to be my favorite show until Grey's....So much to say about last nite's show......But am I the only one that cried (real tears) when doc was put to sleep?...Maybe it's just my love for animals, but I kept thinking...NO...please don't show this and put me through that along with everything else happening in tonight's episode???? Can we say hold our breath for four (4) months???? Don't give up the posting or at least bring it back to top in a few months.....To all my Grey's Anatomy friends.....

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who cried when they put Doc to sleep. I had a puppy that died a few years ago, she was very sick and I still get all weepy when I see those types of scenes in shows. :(

Gosh...I could talk about this show for hours....let me try to keep short versions of my opinions and thoughts....as for Meridith and Derek....to me that is what gained the popularity of the show to see if they would get back together (kinda like they are the main characters)....I think the writers are gonna drag that out as long as they can.... but eventually they will be together!!!......don't want us fans to get happy too quick...I figure she will choose Derek and mess up things with Fin for the fact that Chris O'Donnell is only hired for like 6 or 8 shows.....as for Addison, I figure she will either cheat on Derek again or decide for herself to leave him...you got a good angle on the Alex/Addison plot, good be a twist....And yes I do think Izzy is coming back...have not heard of any regulars leaving the show....Thank Goodness! I'll add more later, I hate to make these too long.....sorry.

I was just looking at the fall schedule, as it is so far, and I think I have realized that I might be happier than I was at first glance with Grey's moving to Thursdays. Yes, it will be up against CSI, but I had forgotten about Sunday Night Football. I'm sure the ratings against CSI will be much better than they would be if Grey's were going to be up against football. If anyone's interested, here's a link to what the schedule looks like so far. Or bet on how the out come will be with the triangle or now possible foursome? So do you think when both men call her name at the end of the show.......which do you think she will leave with? OK...I have to say that I'm annoyed by the teasers for the new season of Grey's Anatomy. And I love Grey's Anatomy.

I really find it difficult to believe that in a hospital, a found pair of panties would make it onto the bulletin board, particularly given that every one knows what's going on.

Ugh.

I'm really hoping that the show doesn't get too soap opera-ish. The last season of Desperate Housewives went too far in that direction and I was very disappointed.

I wasn't crazy about the season finale last year. Everyone just seemed so hormonal and desperate, and McDreamy is turning into more of an manipulative cad than the charming rascal he started out as. I really just want to see that whole mess resolve somehow.

I haven't read anything about Katherine Heigl leaving the show, so I'm guessing she'll stay on somehow. I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up working for the vet - I also have to say that I think Chris O'Donnell has aged very well and I really like his character so far.

Yeah I think the triangle does get resolved..and im wondering if she picks mc.dreamy bc finn is only on the show for like six episodes. also, i dont think Izzy is going to leave, i read somewhere that the staff is going to help her get through this, but she does get reprimanded. who knows but i cant wait!!!! this past week, ive been watching the ones from season 2 i missed and they are just soo funny. i cant wait (but i think that i already said that) lol

I liked the recurring theme of closed doors and growing up. I felt like the episode was just a little too busy though, with the plague AND the baby subplots.

Derrick needs to be smacked for putting it all on Meredith. If he'd been man enough to make a choice in the first place, she wouldn't have been in this position.

I really enjoyed last night's episode. I am still wondering how Addison found the panties. Also, I loved that Derrick said all that to Meredith, BUT he still hasn't told his wife anything. So you really have to wonder what is going to happen when he and Addison come face-to-face about the issue. Will he tell her, or keep pretending that they can work things out? I absolutely cracked up when Christina went to Burke and just started crying on him and then looked at him and said "Don't ever die." That was so funny to me! What's up with Miranda - all that crying and breaking down? And one final thing (for now) - I am really liking Calli more and more with every episode. Cannot wait until next week!!!

Yeah, Callie kind of rubbed me the wrong way when she first appeared, but I am really liking her now. She and George are just so cute together it's almost sickening :D

eh - im still warming up on callie...she still isnt my favorite person. SB - Addison found the panties in Derrick's jacket bc she was wearing his jacket so they must have been in his pocket and im sure she knows who they belong to. she cant be that naiive. im sooooo glad izzy got up off the floor - that was a big step for her and im glad she is working through it. im soooo glad my show is back on!!! i love it and absolutely cant wait til next week - apparently it looks like meredith kisses derrick AND finn. but now derrick will know how meredith felt if she doesnt choose him bc he is now in the "so pick me, choose me" situation. but he needs to tell ADDISON!!!!

oh and btw..how does a 14 yr old have a baby and then get up and walk around and not be any different???? that part was a lil confusing to me. ok im done!
