... Friday, that is.
The Storm Prediction Center has our area in the Moderate Risk area for tomorrow and High Risk for northeastern Mississippi.
Hope those 'naders stay away from here, but it could be an interesting weather day.
What's the old Civil Defense phrase? Duck And Cover?!?!?

Actually the old phrase of "Duck and Cover" was in case of a Russian nuclear attack, but Im sure it would work for a tornado as well....I hope that none of us have to try it out.

The Weather Street (http://www.weatherstreet.com/local_forecast_files/Arnold-Line-MS-39401.htm) seems to agree.
Fun Fun Fun.

Glad I don't have anywhere to be...it feels so muggy outside.

I noticed on Joe's link and I've seen this before this area referred to as Arnold Line and I've always wondered why? Anybody know?
It was beautiful all day here until about an hour ago. Had some pea size hail but only lasted a minute or two. Hopefully that's all we'll get. Still under a tornado watch until 8pm.
Except for that brief moment, it's been beautiful today, warmest it's been all year so far, got up to 76°. Looks like Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and northwest Mississippi have been getting it pretty good though. Hope you luck out and it all misses you.

I don't think anything's going to happen here... I'm going fishing tomorrow morning, and I'm not going to allow this weather to happen here...

Where are the "Is God Punishing Tennessee-ans" articles in the newspapers?
CB, the nasty stuff is going to hit here in the morning between 0300 and dawn. Be careful.

I hope the weather is somewhat decent tomorrow...I was thinking about going for a short roadtrip....the coast perhaps?
It's supposed to really nice after the stroms blow through. 75 degrees and low humidity.

It's just going to muddy up the water... I've had good days fishing after a good storm... I've had bad days too... I'll be waiting with bells on for this, but I'll believe it when I see it.

It's 5:37, and looks like it kinda fell apart on it's way over... it'll be here in less than 30 minutes and last about that long... Not nearly as intense as when I went to bed, though...

It really fell apart over the last hour... guess my weather control isn't as off as I had feared...
Still going fishing? Catch a big one! :)
They got the second part right. 75 and sunny, low humidity. It did rain here, 50 drops. Not even enough to rinse the pollen off of my cars.
After all the storms, we need a day of nice weather. Mid 50s today, 30° tonight. But no rain and plenty of sun. :)

We went fishing at the lake behind the multi-purpose center. We caught about 20 bream, only 2 were big enough to keep, and one of those got away...

The pictures on FOX News is incredible. I really think Katrina has changed the Weather pattern for the United States. IMO since Katrina the weather is just different. How HOT was it in sept after Katrina? All the tornado outbreaks this spring I don't recall these many deaths because of Tornados..

I think it's because it's where the focus is. How many killer bee incidents do you hear about? Zero, even though they happen every year. A few years ago it was the shark attacks, now it's weather and global climate change...

I dont even pay attention to the weather forecasts anymore from WDAM....I found that I can look out the window and do a better job.

It's the end of the world... the sky is falling. They did say on the news that this has been an unusually busy spring storm season.
QM, it's called wraparound precipitation from the counter clockwise spin of the system. Winds from the south as it approaches and winds from the north as it passes and most of the time, some rain gets caught in the spinning high pressure system. It's usually light and passes by fast. It did look wierd though.

Folks, we are getting like Randy Travis's old men talking about the weather in this thread....lol Has Katrina gotten us so fearful that we have to go on and on everytime Steve Taylor says there's a 30 percent chance of a thunderstorm?
While the Nashville area got a good pummeling yesterday (my brother just moved there), we didn't even get a much needed rain.
