my son really has the baseball fever... today he has gone to a fast pitch ball game at City Park in Petal, then he went to USM's game at Wm Carey, and he just got through at Lumberton's high school baseball game in Lumberton (his friend-girl goes to school there and she works in the concession stand). :)

:-D :smt119 thanks, tommy. got confused about who, what, when and where. i told my son instead of being a "bar-hopper", he was a "baseball-hopper"!:) he loves petal and usm sports. he can give u stats all day long and tell u everything that is going on with all the teams and players at any time. he goes on online alot to one of the usm community chat forums similar to here. (of course, he doesn't let me know what's going on there. ya know, me being his mom and all, that ain't cool!)

Ok, so it was a shameless attempt at some self-congratulations. All the talk about the baseball team brings up memories of 1988 when my tennis partner and I won the first state championship at Petal High. Then I won it again playing with a different partner in 1989. We didn't receive half of the attention the baseball players received when they won in '90.

Yeah, I know... it was long ago, but we made history and it meant a lot to me. :-D It also earned me a tennis scholarship.
