Are attachments not working? I so wanted to attach a little small .gif to a message and everything I tried wouldn't work. I've done it in the past.

Am I doing something wrong?

I was not able to get attachments to work last night when I was trying to post my fine coat of arms in the City of OG thread to nowhere. Had to link to the graphic on another server.

Unfortunately, no Web site. It was with some art work and clip art from a genealogy software package. I just did a little Wayward the Naysayer alteration. I mostly like the blue fire breathing Lions. The sure mark of a true Naysayer. :smt103

The attachments not working is part of a bigger problem with the server move that I'm trying to figure out. If it's a picture, you can use the gallery and link it. If it's a file, I'd suggest using a free file hosting service and link it.

I went to usercp and cleaned out old attachments and it shows plenty of space available but when I upload it errors or fails. Bigjohn will post 50 pics in a thread without a problem. I was trying to post a pic saved on my computer or in my pics on the laptop. I wanted to post a pic of my g/f that's coming to the party..

Most likely, it's failing because it's dimensions are too big. I've upped each member's attachment storage size to 1 MB, but your best bet would probably be to upload it to your gallery, pm me with the link to your gallery, then I'll send you back a link to put in the image box (when you press http://www.myhattiesburg.com/forums/images/editor/insertimage.gif)

After you do this, download and watch this video. It will probably take a while to download but it will show you how to upload images to your gallery and then put them in a post on the forums. I use Firefox to do it, so if your in IE, the instructions might change a bit.
