A thirtysomething man who still lives with his parents falls in love with the woman of his dreams and begins to suspect she has been hired by his parents as a way to get him out of the house.
1 hour and 36 minutes.
It's a chick flick. It's obvious from the cover but I thought I'd get it anyway since the pickings were slim at Blockbuster.
But I have to say it's one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. There were quite a few bust-out laughing moments in it. Terry Bradshaw and Kathy Bates were great as Matthew McConaughey's parents, and the supporting cast of Matt's friends were very good, too.
Rob Corddry has an appearance as a gun salesman that's really funny, along with the mockingbird scene.
I couldn't get over the fact that Katheryn Winnick (Melissa) looks a lot like a young Linda Rondstadt, who used to be in love with me.
Get over the fact it's a chick flick and get it for the laughs. You're chick will like you for getting it, and you can laugh at the same time. :-D
