Superman Returns

Good Movie. I think they made the right choice in who they picked to play Clark Kent/Superman. Although I must say I am sick and tired of seeing Parker Posey in movies that are supposed to be really good. Sorry If anyone disagrees but Parker Posey along with say Nicole Kidman are the worst actresses in the world.

Story line was very good. Although it was a bit choppy in some places and they did fall out of line with the Superman Continuity. But overall I would give the movie an A.

I didn't like it. It was long and boring, Lex Luther's scheme was kind of stupid, Superman and Lois just had no chemistry, etc. But then I've never really liked Superman so maybe I'm biased.

The one thing I can say is that it is based on a comic book. That being said then of course the schemes were stupid cause in real life something like that could never happen. I do agree with the no chemistry between the two main characters though. Also Poseys character was supposed to be a beautiful blond(thats how the novelization had it) Im not sure what she was and I really don't know what was up with the hair on her head. LOL

I saw this movie last night. Too bad I saw it at the mall, but it was good anyway.

I thought it was great. The airplane sequence was intense! That alone was almost worth the price of admission. The boat scene was good too. I thought the opening credits were great and seemed to be somewhat of a tribute to previous Superman movies.

I really liked Brandon Routh as Superman. I thought he did a good job of it. I'm not so sure about Kate Bosworth's role as Lois Lane however, or maybe how it was scripted. It seems to be a pretty big departure of how Lois has been portrayed in the past in that she was quite a bit subdued in this movie. Kevin Spacey was great as Lex Luthor.

I've seen in some other places where people were nitpicking the heck out of the story line, like all Superman comics were Pulitzer prize winners or something. It would be easy to pick out all the flaws in the story but as long as you take it for what it is, it serves its purpose well. The overall feel of the movie was a little darker than previous versions but I don't think that is necessarilly a bad thing.

I read that Superman's cape was entirely done in CG - they did a good job of it. I also liked Superman's new outfit with the emblem on front having depth to it.

All in all I thought it was very good. I give it 5 stars.

I saw a trailer online this weekend for yet ANOTHER Rocky movie...I think this one will be called Rocky Balboa...basically he wants to fight some smaller matches for fun, then gets talked into a big bout after some sort of online poll or computer generated predictions. Havent we had enough of Rocky already??? Whats next? Rocky:The Senior Center Rumble
