My brother has a bad situation going on. He was arrested in Il. about 14 years ago on a dui. A year later he got another. He paid all fines went to drunk driving classes as instructed. After that he was told to go to aa meetings to get his license back. He failed to do the aa meetings and ended up moving here 6 years ago. He has a job-works every day, but needs a license to get back and forth to work legally. Who would be someone to talk to that could possibly get him a hardship license if nothing else. I am loaning him some money to help him get this straightened out so I really need one of y'all to guide me in the right direction. Thanks if anyone can be of any help on this.:smt006

Sounds to me it has to be cleared up in Illinois...PM me and I will send you the name of someone I think can help if it can be taken care of here.

that's what I was thinking about clearing it up in Illinois...but then again, I've been known to be wrong a time or two.

XC9, I live in Illinois and have a friend here that is a past state's attorney and is currently a judge. I'd be glad to ask him, or give you his name and number.

If it happened in Illinois, you will need an attorney licensed in Illinois. Additionally, it would probably be wise to find someone locally in the community where it happened for such reasons as fees, rapport with the judge, knowledge and familiarity with local rules etc.
