Ignore Thread

Is there any way to "ignore thread" like ignoring a user. I'd just as soon skip the forum games from popping up when I hit "new posts".

I really wish you could select which forums new posts should come out of, but in actuality, it's basically a button that does an automatic search of all posts to see which are new to you.
