Is the money donated by the two cities (St. Cloud and the one in California) being spent on Katrina expense and is the record of where it is being spent public record. Does the donating city get to see where the money went or where it is going I am just curious!

Maybe we should write letters to the donating cities local newspapers, letter to the editor, and pose the question. I'm sure those people would be interested to know, too.

I agree it ought to be public knowledge because it was a lot of money according to the HA I just havent heard any more about it since the few months following the storm. I hope someone is tracking the balance to make sure that Mt. Carmel isn't using it to pay for Fairleys sons indictments.

I'm sure that's not happening. Okay, I'm not 100% sure, but that would be a pretty stupid thing to do. I'd more readily believe that weekly donation plate is being used for that purpose, or the sale of illicit drugs, etc...

Still, we demand accountablility of our charities, and I think similar records should be made public with these donated monies.

I agree! Does the church have to disclose the money they collect each week and also let the church know where it is going! Does Fairly ever have anyone checking behind his spending habits!
