Sumrall Expanding City Limits ...

Oak Grove now has another pressure to Incorporate ... YaY!! (not) ... Wonder if Sumrall will have some of the same issues that OG is currentally having with Hattiesburg????? From what I understand ... Sumrall is wanting to go down HWY 42 towards Hattiesburg ... nothing was mentioned about the OG direction for annexation ...

As this proposed annexation does not fall within three (3) miles of the city limits of Hattiesburg (or any other city), Sumrall will not need to even name Hattiesburg as a party to the annexation. It looks like mostly they are taking in a couple of subdivisions and the land where the new school is being built.
