I don't know anything about any of the contestants, but going by the pictures, I like Joanna Gaston. She reminds me of somebody, haven't figured out who yet.

I don't know anything about any of the contestants, but going by the pictures, I like Joanna Gaston. She reminds me of somebody, haven't figured out who yet.

Joanna's parents and my parents are neighbors... she was a student here at USM, sang at a couple games, and was out in the public a good bit. Her father was the headmaster at Simpson Academy before he died a few years ago.

Taryn Leigh Foshee is the new Miss Mississippi. I've never heard of anyone trying four years in a row before.

Most of the girls nowadays who win Miss Mississippi have competed for the title multiple years; very rarely does a "newbie" (first-timer) win.
