Google seems to think that Dave Ware either just got married, is a freelance writer, or has a band.

For all I know of the man his name could be John Smith. That's a name I know but I still wouldn't vote for him just because I saw his name on a placard in someone's yard. Now what common sheep will do I have no idea. Maybe I'll invest some $$$ in several hundred such signs and stick them in people's yards one election just to see how many write in votes I'll get. That would be a hoot.

I think if Red is supporting him he is the best man for the job! The rest will be backed by Dupree/Fairley they know they will have to work hard!

Most of these post say that Red has the "best interest" of the city. Red has had the best interest for "himself". He has rental property and investments all over Ward 4 and now has a HOME (not a weekend place) in Purvis.

It seems to me that we forget that Red is suing the Mayor who is using tax payer money to defend himself. In my opinion, this is not the best interest of the city and this is not why I pay taxes.

In most post, no one knows much about Dave Ware. Who is he? Why does he want to run? Why is Red supporting him and not others? Why is his signs the first to be up? Red told Ellard, Brown, and Russell that either would be good for the post. Why are these guys not running and getting the endorsement?

Everyone is quick to point out relationships between Dupree/Fairley but this looks to me like Bailey/Ware may have the same type relationship? Is Dave Ware going to be his own man if elected?

Folks really need to think for themselves!

:smt038 Dave Ware is an anesthesiologist with several offices from here to the capitol. He is interested in his ward because he just bought the old Walthall School to renovate it. He wants badly to buffer his neighborhood. Just my opinion, but I think he's on the right track...

From what I hear there will more than likely be at least one candidates' forum in the very near future so everyone will get a chance to hear all their viewpoints on the issues. I think there may even be more than one forum.

I thought I saw a Ware sign on 49 near the 4th st. overpass on my way to work today (while I'm on vacation). Looked like someone had put it there and then knocked it down...

For anyone who doesnt know Dave Ware, he has a campaign Headquarters now. And a phone number where you can call leave your number and he will return your call. The headquarters is in the building on 25th between Taco Bell and Chesterfields.

The phone number is 601-467-7905.

You dont have to go by what people say on this site. You can call him, leave a message that you want him to call you back or come by your house (at your convenience).
That way you can look him in the eye and ask anything that is on your mind.

I myself never knew him before he came by my house and introduced himself to me. So call him and find out on your own if you want him to represent our ward. Then go VOTE.

Nurse Anethesist... he lives in the neighborhood and has for numerous years. He has had genuine concern for the area long before the Walthall Project.

Your right about one thing Blue Bengal, folks need to think for themselves. They sure didnt get much to go on from your way of thinking.

Frist off, Red does not have rental proberty and investments all over ward 4. He did take old houses fix them like new, and sell them at a reasonable price. I wish more people would take that kind of investment in Ward 4.

Second, Red, Carter and Kim are sueing the mayor because he wont follow the law and submit his department heads to the council. Do you not support them in that endeavor? Are you on the mayors side on that issue?

Third, if you dont know anything about Dave Ware why dont you do something productive and call him at 601-467-7905 and ask him anything you like. And his signs were up frist because he is organized and wants very much to be our councilman. And like Justme said, that is the best way to get his name out in the ward in a hurry.

Fourth, it is not important who is not running it is important who is running and the relationship between Red and Dave is in no way comparable with dupree and unfairley. Dave is his own man and thinks for himself. One reason they got to know each other is Dave lives in the same house that Red once lived in. The relationship that dupree and unfairley have is unexplainable.

Fifth and last, You are correct on one thing, everyone needs to think for themselves. But more important they should go VOTE.

I don't think the un or ill informed should vote. It's subjective, but verifiable.

Coming Home yesterday I noticed whole streets lined with ware signs.
I'll probably vote for Ware, but I'm not getting a sign.
I'm afraid my neighborhood may be reaching a critical point of Ware saturation & Ware may begin to condense out of the atmosphere.
