Whats the deal with the sewer in Petal

Theres water all over the roads in my neighborhood in Petal and now after I washed dishes in the sink last night and then bleached out the sink the drains smell like sewer gas. How many calls must be made to the water dept. before something is done about it? They need to get it fixed soon cause "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore.":smt118 :mad:

Haven't you heard??? The "Friendly City" is more interested in a stupid bike trail than the welfare of of its citizens! They can't be bothered with such trivial matters such as fixing the water & sewer system! @@! BTW, I live in Petal, too.:smt086 :smt118

My wife made two calls to the water dept in petal about our water being brown, the lady said someone would either call or come by, that was a month ago and I'm still waiting. :mad:

You would think when you're paying $65.00 dollars a month, you would get better service from your government.

I know Derrick was complaing about the sewer leak across the street and Bahlk was talking about the brown water, I'm not sure where in Petal you're at but our water is BLUE here!! :smt103

I'm sorry ya'lls water is brown and blue. Call the water dep't again along with your alderman and then the health dep't to le them know. tell the water dep't you are going to call the health dep't if it's not fixed right away or you want your $65.00 back. Just suggestions, use your j'ment.
Call WDAM and Hattiesburg American if need be.
Good luck. p.S. Go or call and voice your concerns about the bike trail when right now the health of water is something they need to fix. Also, you could send a return, registered letter to water dept and they have to sign to show they received it. Call Mayor Carl Scott.

Before Katrina I had a pothole in front of my house filled with water. The same water every day. We went through Katrina. Finally two weeks before Christmas I finally called city hall on Monday afternoon and told them they had till 5:00 Tuesday evening to do something about it or I would call the Health Department to do something about it. They were out there first thing the next morning.

Had a neighbor who is crazy call the city tonight and now they have a barrel out in the road and it's poring worse than ever. I wonder how good that is for the environment?

It might not be as bad as it is had he not showed his @$$ and made the problem worse so the city would get on it faster. He's such a hothead and wasn't willing to give them time to get to it. They should charge him for fixing it!!! :mad:
