6 officers in one weeks time...Man i think we have lost more officers in a week then Jerry, (subway man) has lost since he's been trying....... maybe he needs to sit down and eat with wynn and get some diet tips!!!
(officers: Chip Estes: Lamar CO., Kyle Stuart: Petal, Jr. Burnett: Lamar Co., David Clayton: Military, Rick Hoerner:Military, John Brown: Lamar Co.) So just incase someone needs help with the math, here goes:
83 (officers in the field, thats counting the two new officers)
+16 (military)
__________
99 total (and that is INCLUDING admin)
Things are crazy:smt119 :smt119 :smt119 ...............

Yes, I heard that on WDAM and heard we were ahead. Evidently, this is THE NEW WYNN MATH. We're really in the hole 4 officers but we're ahead. Do you think my bank would fall for that? We'd all be so rich or we could petition Aaron to change our hubbucks system that way. I'd be rich no matter how many losses or withdrawals I have. I bet I couldn't play cards this way.
Now I wonder about the city's budget with this math.
This administration needs someone who understands numbers but I know they do 'cause at voting time they can disagreee with counts.

The budget is good because they don't have to pay all those officers salaries

Don't forget to subtract the officers who are on 24/7 patrol around city hall, watching the hard drives, since they are effectively not watching out for the rest of the city.

They do have the popcicle fountain blocked off by those meanacing yellow traffic barricades.
Will one of the officers still be counted as a patrol officer is this person goes back to the school security officer? The numbers are misleading due to some being counted who are not actually on the streets.

Hel- they know what is going on! They want it just like it is or things would have changed at the beginning of the newly elected term. This is perfect for their suiting- My SPIRITUAL ADVISOR talks to me too-LOL-says the other advisor in town advises that dupree man and then he advises that huge police man. And among those 83 officers, just how many are taking reports. The figure 83 includes ALL officers (i.e. the Chief, Assistant Chief, and so on.) So there are not 83 officers taking reports and working the streets. Try halfing that number and that's how many you have protecting all of the city of Hattiesburg. Not good people.

Donuts are color blind!
Aren't we paying them enough for donuts?
Is Wynn depriving them of donuts?
If so we may have to look into his qualifications.
Has he been submitted to the board yet for approval?
Has anyone looked into this?
My God! Anyone who would deprive an honest hardworking cop of his fair share of high quality nutricious & delicious breakfast pastries would bring a PD down like a house of donut free cards!

58: IF you wanted to know his qualifications you should have arranged to attend one of the neighborhood assoc. meetings he held recently at Chesterfields...of course they were by invitation only AND DUTCH TREAT! He gave out a two page list of his schooling and accomplisments etc. etc. The meeting was simply a "pat Chief Wynn on the back" get-together. He pretty much blamed everyone else for what all is wrong at the p.d. and Misenhelter went right along with him...it was soooo sad...I thought I would barf!

Asst. Chief Frank and Major Hardy Sims will be in Jackson next week displaying a recruiting commercial. I guess for 3 days to hopefully sign on recruits. Apparently they are going to go all over the state looking. It's no longer about quality, it's about quantity. Lets hope the training officer is more prepared for the new recruits than the 2 he has now. They did a great job cleaning out his shed for training yesterday. They watched videos all day today. But for 58 - there were no donuts served...

Daisy: He listened to our concerns but IMHO he didn't take them seriously. He more or less just kept talking about all his accomplishments, blaming all the p.d. problems on the imagination of those complaining...he just kept telling everyone what he was trying to do...he pretty much put the blame of the way things are as people's preconceived notions and that they are not true...officers are leaving for better pay, less stress, etc. etc. same song, different verse! He sounded like a broken record. I was floored when he handed everyone a two page print out of his jobs, his training etc. etc. I thought I would barf! HE NEVER accepted all the p.d. problems nor did he acknowledge any off it was due to HIM! Imagine that!!!! Yep, the food was good, BUT wouldn't you think if you invite someone to a luncheon, HE would pay the tab? I think it was totally tacky. I think it would have served him better to have a meeting with all the neighborhood assoc. in attendance at the same time...say at the community center and serve coffee, tea and soda.. IF he wanted snacks have cookies or a large cake. I just thought it was totally inappropriate the way he did it...he really needs an Emily Post book on manners!

What's with all the donut talk? Apprently y'all aren't familiar with DW's policy on donuts. An officer SHALL be reprimanded if he/she is seen purchasing or eating donuts. There have been cases when an officer answered a call at Krispy Kreme and was called in to DW's office to explain why his car was parked outside a donut shop.

You know it is a joke, and I thought it was pretty funny... Maybe you just have to be in the right frame of mind to laugh at it... have a few and come back and re-read it from the perspective of a Dupree koolaid drinker who believes that the cops who left are racist and all cops are dirty and just as bad as the crackhead that steals their DVD's while they're out...

It's a running joke about the donuts. Can he call you into his office for buying them on you off days or off time? Does he have it written into the company handbook or whatever you call it?
They sell Krispy Kreme donuts at those first little stands at 98 Wal-Mart. I would be tempted to put some on his desk if the cameras and snitches weren't working. What's he got against donuts?
I wasn't aware of all the anti-donut history there and apologize if I have offended anyone with the humor about donuts. I think donut shops have good coffee also. I'll probably still do the donut humor though. It's just too sweet to pass up.

When I first got into law enforcement in another town, we were also told not to go to the donut shop unless it was to the drive-thru window. It was ok to go to the drive-up, get what we wanted and then go else where to eat/drink what we got..I think it all boiled down to the admin didn't want the citizens to "label" us like all the jokes suggest "fat and slow." The only time we were able to get out at the donut shop was when we got a call there to break-up a fight etc. Alot of times, especially on the weekends, the drunks would stop there to get coffee and something to eat and would start fights...which then we had to stop. Our people never had an issue with the rule.

Dude mom & dad's is easily the best place to get some good ole southern food in the area.
I frequent that place quite regularly and yes, there is quite a bit of the public service types that eat there...but its good food and they eat on a discount. But honestly, it is a blue collar joint. I walked in there with a pink dress shirt and it got so quiet i thought it was the showdown at the OK corral.
If someone goes on a crime spree out in the county jurisdiction during the FCSD lunch break at mom and dad's you can complain about it...until then...let the guys eat together and stop being so critical.

That's a little harsh to say they shouldn't be able to eat together. Thnik about all of the crap they have to put up with for 12 hours per shift, then re-consider whether they should be able to eat together. If they're eating together at the end of the shift, that's one thing. I have no problem with them going out and getting something like that. If that's what's going on, then carry on.
I just don't think it's a good idea to pool all resources in one area. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

Cops eat together because they like the company. Also it's more safe. There have been several times people have come up to me while I was eating with a problem. It's always better to have a partner with you. Have you ever noticed when a cop or cops walk into a restaurant how everyone turns and looks at them. Some even stare. If Joe Citizen had that happen to them everywhere they went, they would probably stay home.
