I was reading another thread and saw this along with the sewer and water problems. Whats the beef with Bryant? I'm missing something there.:smt102 Or I misread. Could someone clue me in...

Chief Bryant is not going anywhere he is doing a great job in petal.

The talk is Petal wants to create a Public Safety Director incharge of police & Fire. Then the city of Petal Could be looking for a new police & fire Chief :smt102 :smt102

Please tell me I am not understanding the post above regarding a public safety director. A city of 10,000 needing a Public Safety Director? To oversee two department heads? Isn't that what the Mayor is supposed to do? Geez. It never ceases to amaze me how government creates more and more bureaucracy.

Going to be a boring job telling 2 people what to do. They don't need this position open they are doing fine with what they have. Just another way to spend money for no reason.

There is onething petal doesn't need and that is a new FIRE CHIEF. Chief Bryant is doing a fine job.

LOL - Rigby - he's funny!!! I knew Bryant was smart in how he's filling his department with new and veteran firemen. I just saw something in another thread that made me raise my eye brows. Just wanted to make sure...

It's not the Dept heads that need replacing. The Mayor and most of the board do however.... is there any truth to the rumor that they are going to build a city golf course off Kelly Rose Lane?
