Does Hattiesburg have an official mascot?
If it doesn't, I propose the beaver.
We've got a whole colony of them living right downtown.
They're Cool!

Where are they? Are they on Gordon's Creek? Recently on a canoeing trip on the Leaf River, I saw one swimming upstream as we were close to the landing on the 42 bridge in Petal. He was so cute.

If you ask my neighbors, perhaps more do than you'd think. And give some of that half of the population a few drinks, and you never know what they're willing to eat. :smt118
