Anybody using the live bookmarks feature of MH or other sites? I just added MH's live bookmark today and a couple of news sites last night and really like it.
Is this just a Firefox feature or do other browsers support this too?

Are those the bookmarks you drag under the address bar?

All of my bookmarks keep dying... I guess I should water them more often.

On Firefox there's an orange looking icon to the far right of the url location text box. If you click it you can add live updates from whatever site you're currently on. IOW, it will add that orange icon to your bookmarks and then when you click it all the new threads from MH will show up as a list of items that you can then click and go directly to that thread. You don't have to be on the MH site to actually see what new threads are available.

Live Bookmarks is a Firefox feature and works with sites providing RSS live update feeds. You will only see the orange icon on the right side of the address bar for sites providing an RSS feed. Live Bookmarks makes a subscription to RSS fairly automatic.
Here's a link to a bit more detail (http://johnbokma.com/firefox/rss-and-live-bookmarks.html) about Live Bookmarks. Plus a link to probably more than you ever wanted to know about RSS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(file_format)).
Good find, wilebill. :smt038

I don't use live bookmarks because I put all my feeds on my home page, but yeah, I'm a big believer in RSS so I made the feed available. With MH it's a little different, but some sites don't update for days so why visit them just to see if there's something new.
