Well, just got back from the Ant Bully. I didn't have any expectations, other than a fear of being bored. Man, was I suprised. This movie was a great family film, and had enough to keep us adults glued to the screen, too.
First, just go in with the thought that ants are communists, so when you get to the scene with Nicholas Cage lecturing the human boy about why humans can't work together for the good of humanity and learn their place, you won't cast it in a political light. Other than that one scene, the movie was spectacular. The animation was good, the story line was good, and the action was there.
I'm not going to give anything else away about the movie, but it's a good show and well worth the price of matinee admission. Choose this one over Monster House every day. It's as good as Cars, just not as innovative.
