you all know I don't know how to post a webpage but its in the HA. They don't tell when the auctions are or give the website. And no fair - I would love to be able to buy ours! The only way we could is if there was NO housing in HB. We told them rent was unconceivable and buying was out too. After what our previous owners did - I won't be buying a pre-Katrina house for a few years. They covered up the damage and sold it. The new owners can't live in it, couldn't get insurance...
Rent has gone up so much that I'm not willing to waste that much money anymore.
And $1500 isn't that much damage.
They said they were being lenient towards people that return damaged homes - WHY? We have 2 kids and ours still looks new and smells new - and I'm by NO means a neat freak.
Oh well, win some loose some.:smt102

The way I read it was they were only selling the ones that were returned and require more than $1,500.00 in repairs. Then they were going to be sold 'as is '.

I found the website - they're only posting the ones in Florida right now. Some of them didn't look too bad. Some of them were like pigs lived in them. I can't believe people would live that way - in someone elses property!!!
