When you say Chris will enter the gulf, does that mean as a named storm?

Also, are you including the FL Keys in the Florida bet, or is it just mainland?

By hit, do you mean the center passes over?

The Florida Keys is included in the Florida Bet. Where the center passes over. T. D, T S, Hurricane Chris enters the gulf. If chris hits Florida then
goes in gulf and Hits Florida again you only win once..

Any other ideas? I might put a over/under up for gas prices in a few days.

If I bet on "hit Florida" and Chris goes into the Gulf and THEN hits the Florida panhandle, do I win or is it where Chris FIRST hits only?

Max bet 5000...per item or total?

IGID thats fine.. Just trying to keep (hubba-cbelt) from betting 100 or 200 thousand on this because it really looks like it will go into the gulf.. But then it could get over the islands and get blown east or just die out.. Never know.. If it hits florida then goes in the gulf and hits florida again you will win the florida & gulf bet..

Weatherunderground has it straight for the gulf of mexico

It does say 5000 total, but apparently some folks can't read. :smt102 Or Noway can't type. One of the two.

Statement as of 5:00 am EDT on August 05, 2006

this is going to be short and Sweet. Satellite images and surfaceobservations indicate that Chris is becoming a broad area of low pressure devoid of thunderstorm activity. The low willlikely continue to move westward until dissipating later today.Global models were correct indeed in forecasting dissipation of the cyclone over Cuba. This will be the last advisory on Chris. Well the myhattiesburg jinx killed T D Chris.. Wilebill you might need to help IGID he lost it all...

The hurricane forcast is supposed to be 'revised' this tuesday, or was it this past tuesday? From what I understand, they're amending their predictions to a lower count. Can they do that? It's like calling for 100% chance of rain for tomorrow, but tomorrow at 11am, saying there's only a 20% chance, then pointing at the accuracy of your prediction.

Don't pat yourself on the back too much Noway. You must have missed the part about it reforming once it gets in the Gulf and hits S.Texas or N.Mexico as a tropical storm next week.

I will be taking complaints until noon tomorrow. Did anyone win or think they won?

I'll be the first one to admit that Chris is gone. I hate losing... good thing it wasn't a larger max bet! LOL!!! The satillite images show nothing left of Chris.
