Sorry to be tooting my own horn but I'm a little shocked! I was driving down the interstate a couple hours ago and saw a car on the side of the road just south of the 73 exit. When I looked inside (as I was driving by at 80 MPH) I saw a guy who looked like he was in distress and something told me to call for help. I called 911 and they transfered me to AAA (wonder if the dispatcher was a my HB member?). I told them what I saw and they said they'd send an ambulance. I just received a phone call from the Forrest County Sherriffs office letting me know that the man was having a heart attack and that I had saved his life!!! AND that his wife was in the front seat with him, but she had Alzheimers. I wish I knew what hospital he was at - Forrest General I'm sure. Our pastor is always talking about listening to God. I think he was the one who put the thought in my head. My friend from school was 2 cars back. I asked her if she saw the car and she didn't. I kinda felt bad for not stopping but I guess my call was enough. Some of you don't believe. For me God has once again used me to make a difference in someones life.

THANKS for caring. I am sure the mans family appreciates what you did for him. You may have saved two lives. If his wife had alzheimers she may have gotten out and onto the highway and been run over. God works in mysterous ways...thank goodness he planted the seed in your heart for you to seek help. I am glad though that you did not stop...these days and times you have to be careful! Thugs do alot of deceittful things and it is the honest caring person who gets hurt!

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 6:2 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=47&chapter=6&verse=2&version=9&context=verse)
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Matthew 6:3 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=47&chapter=6&verse=3&version=9&context=verse)
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

Matthew 6:4 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=47&chapter=6&verse=4&version=9&context=verse)
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

Thanks Acesmom. I'm sure glad you followed your heart and it's good to have a community of friends to share your joys and sorrows, isn't it ?
I think it's amazing that FCSO called you back. I mean, I'm sure they're busy. That is amazing, all after you call all the dispatching and eveything coordinated together.
ACEsmom...you are a wonderful person to have cared enough to do that! We need more like you. I'm sure the gentleman and his wife will be forever thankful for your kind action.

Oh - I in NO way want to claim fame! What I DO want is for more people to be aware of how God uses everyone and to be more aware of what you're little voices say. And for those who aren't believers (and those who are), to maybe be more aware of how something little may mean a lot to someone else and how something you would normally ignore may be a life changing event for someone else. Imagine how great it would be if everyone would care a little more.
