work for the city and /or city hall and can tell me if i can look for the raise that i have been promised for the month of october?? Please advise me if i should or SHOULD NOT get my hopes up to hight:smt102

I don't work for the city. I would go to payroll and ask them about what you paycheck will be with your raise. I am sure they or personnel would have a clue. Good luck!!

Having worked for the city, I don't think they give raises but once a year...in the spring....I hope you do get a raise but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you!

Looks like you will be getting your raise.
"Hattiesburg’s fiscal 2007 budget includes $7.83 million for personnel, but Brown said he did not know how much of that was earmarked for new officers. He said the $2,000 per year raise that the council approved for police officers was included in the budget and takes effect Oct. 1."
