Since Noway has been busy this week, I have decided to start a High School pick the winners thread with a $100,000 hubbuck prize. I am going to post 16 games, and whoever wishes to play can copy and paste my list of games in their replies with their predicted winners. The deadline to reply is 6:30 p.m. Friday evening. Whoever picks the most winners, wins the prize. If two or more people have the same number of winners, I have included a tie breaker.

Rules:

1. If you have more than $500K, you are free to play, but all you will win is bragging rights. The second place winner will take the $100K, so long as they meet this criteria (or third place and so on). This is designed for our less fortunate members.

2. If Wilebill, SoMissTV or anyone else decides to ridicule me for starting this, or the manner in which it is administered, the whole game is OFF!

Ok, here goes:

1. Natchez. v. Oak Grove

2. Hattiesburg v. Meridian

3. Wayne County v. West Jones

4. Lumberton v. West Marion

5. Sumrall v. Collins

6. Purvis v. Prentiss

7. Petal v. St. Martin

8. Laurel v. Northeast Jones

9. Forrest AHS v. Gautier

10. Bassfield v. North Forrest

11. Jackson Jim Hll v. Jackson Wingfield

12. Harrison Central v. Gulfport

13. Quitman v. South Jones

14. Tupelo v. Starkville

15. South Panola v. Olive Branch (both are 5-0)

16. Ackerman v. Eupora

How about EVERY other thread?

On the subject of this thread, I say:

This is a very kind and generous thing that you do. The redistribution of wealth from the richest to the poorest is a very liberal concept. I know that Fuzzis and Hillary will be quite proud of the way that you are offering your hard-earned hubbucks to the less fortunate. I'm sure that this attitude will take you far in the Republican party, and that if elected to the state legislature, you would donate your hard-earned legislative pay to a charitable organization. After all, I believe that you are a man of integrity, and spend your real money the same way you spend your hubbucks.

That MUST be the case, as you are as protective of your fake money as you must be with real money. In any case, thanks from all of us here on myhattiesburg.com... we are so lucky to have a generous person like you here!

lamarrebel

Actually conservatives encourage voluntarily giving to charitable and social organizations on a personal and corporate citizen level. What conservatives grumble about is many inefficient programs where government mandates the redistribution of wealth. We've also had problems with runaway juries and liberal judges handing down huge punitive damage verdicts that had no relation to the damages actually suffered, whcih result in higher costs of consumers and insurance costs to professionals.

My voluntarily having hubbuck giveaways is in no way inconsistent with conservative principles. In fact, if Aaron established a "hub income tax"
in which richer users were subject to higher levels of taxation, I'd be screaming "socialism!". Lol

Does hubba's OT comments count against himself or not? If he picks the winners can he not win? Is it possible to take away his birthday? Since he took the first swipe against possible swipes after vowing no swipes would be tolerated, should he be red carded?

I'm confused as to how to treat a comment that one person is allowed to make but not another.
