My favorite response after saying no thank you and they continue, is, lay the phone down for a few minutes and let them do their speel to the couch cushion or table and by the time I get back to the phone they have hung up. Another good one is to tell the caller you are extremely busy and he can give you HIS home number and you will call him later in the evening. This usually shocks the heck out of them. I heard that one on the radio the other day.

When the various phone services ask me who my long-distance is with, I tell them I have no telephone. That pretty much confuses the hell out of them.

I'm pretty tired of Bellsouth calling and trying to get me to choose a more expensive plan. If it's some foriegner, I try to be polite, but when they don't respond, I can really get nasty. I probably shouldn't do it, but they called me, afterall.

I've set the phone down lots in the past. I've got to try the 'I don't have a phone' line... that's GREAT!!!
