This is a news story, but put it in off topic because a lot of us have ties to Memphis... especially Monkey, QM, Hubbarister, and other Ole Miss folks...
an overnight fire destroyed a pre-1900 church and ambers spread to three other buildings, including one of the high rises. One TV station is reporting that all four buildings are destroyed or heavily damaged. THe high rise is the Lincoln National Building, the large white building that has the taller, skinny tower on top (built like a smaller replica of the Woolworth Building in New York.)
It's sad to see historic architecture like this destroyed.
