  :smt102 In the midst of dealing with extended family on property divisions the phrase was thrown out to me that this family has always been fair to each other in the past-- my radar immediately went into play. It already was because of other red flags. But when someone tells me this after I, the lucky spokesperson for my family would not agree to certain things I started thinking about What are your warning phrases when someone says them to you?

Listen for the word "but" because everything said afterward is what they really mean.
"but" stands for "Behold the Underlying Truth"
or somepeople are really good and they say "yes, but..."
Yes....."Your Evaluation is Superb," "Behold the Underlying Truth."
Also, watch those who profess their Christianity alittle too much...especially if there are no "works".

When someone from the South starts a sentence with "Bless your heart, I'm not sure that ..." if talking to you
or
"Bless his (or her) heart, I'm not sure that he (or she) ..." if talking about someone close to you.

"Hey ya'll, watch this..."
:smt119 :-D
That is a sure sign something bad is about to happen...usually to the person saying the above quote.

"Normally..." anything following 'Normally' isn't good... the following statement is either going to be a pain in my ass, or my ass.
"Are you a Christian"... oh, that one is almost never good...
"Do you have any 'white' employees?"...
"Hi, I'm calling from the Police against infant hair dyes, and we're having our annual funraiser..."

"We're selling this colonge..."
Where do they get this colonge, and who figured out the best way to sell it was to walk around the WalMart parking lot?

Anytime anybody says...."to tell you the truth" or starts a sentence with "honestly" I am always on my toes.

I like all ya'lls. I also go on guard when someone says TRUST ME or I am the only one you can trust.
