While I was looking for houses on-line, I came across the above listed property....I thought I remembered the address from when I worked at the p.d.
After looking in the phone book, sure nuff...it is listed as Kenneth Fairley's address....maybe he is selling to pay his boys legal bills! Could it be he is trying to sell before it is foreclosed on? With any luck maybe he will leave town! (I KNOW that is just wishful thinking!!) We may now find him living in an extra Sunday School room over at the church!

your link takes me to the homepage for the company. What's the specific address of the house?

SoMissTV: I MAY have misposted...or I am seeing things one! I looked a few days ago and swore I saw 104 Chelsea Pl.....which is in the phone book as his address...I just looked at the site again and all I see is 109 Kensington...
I specifically looked in the phone book when I first saw the listing to make sure it was his house...however, now that I go back and look I do not see Chelsea Pl. listed for sale... I will have to appologize for a mispost if I was wrong...

What's astonishing to me is that when given the option of choosing a realtor, he didn't choose one from his congregation.

What is going on? Maybe he is just going to move into HBG? What legal bills? He is not in trouble for anything, is he?

Daisey, his son was one of the ones in trouble for the mortgage flipping scam. If i'm not mistaken, Jr was actually indicted in that.

With all the legal stuff going on over there...it's hard to keep track.

Regarding his sons and their legal bills, let them pay for it and do a plea or use a public defender.
And filing suit against the voter discrimination, would it be over 5000?

Or maybe the flavor of his neighborhood is changing?

Maybe he's looking towards the future by buying a Mayor's Mansion and better security for his Collection plates of Gold.

where is chelsea dr?
why won't he moved down by the church so he can be closer to his flock?
this idea i don't understand....our pastor drives a nissan sentra, and i have offered him a larger car for many reasons, one saving the life of my mother with his kidney......
i passed by jeff clark from first bap, and he was trying to jump off a first bapt church bus/van looking thing with his escalade, no older than 2006......
church has now become a business rather than a calling......

carsalesguy, you hit the nail on the head! I find alot of church's lacking in alot of things...mostly true old fashioned religion! Chelsea is off of 40th ave.

I heard he was moving to Trailwood in Petal.
Say it isn't so! That means he'll have to drive through Petal's jurisdiction to get to "work". Someone please clarify this post. I'd love to pass this info along to our Men in Blue.

It would be quite shocking to see our resident rabble rouser leave Lamar County, and maybe give up the hypocrisy. He has made a living out of preying upon the passions and prejudices of the poor, but has refused to live amongst them. But, typically demogogues make the greatest hypocrites!

Two of his sons were indicted on the mortgage flipping scandal. One of them also has cases against him involving posession/selling drugs. Also, the Rev has filed suit himself regarding 'voting discrimination.'
He definitely has legal bills out the wazoo!!!
If you look closely enough, you'd probably find Dupree and the City of Hattiespatch funding some of his endeavors. Hey, that's probably where a portion of the salaries of his illegal department heads is going. Why do we not have reporters in this area with the balls to do a full-scale investigative report on this bunch of flunkies?

Well, it's not HBG, but here is an interesting article from the NY Times...

I don't want to get nit picky but I am almost positive Jeff Clark doesn't drive an escalade. Unless he just got it. I don know his LeSabre was destroyed in the hurricane, a tree fell across it. The last vehicle I saw him drive was a mid 90's GMC truck.

Maybe the Rev. will get the church to buy it. Seems they own a lot of property including Dupree's. Go to deltacomputersystems.com and check it out. Enter Dupree in the property search then go to property appraisal and see who is listed as the owner.....Surprise.....Mt. Carmel.

I did that, but it came up showing that Johnny DuPree was the owner of the property. :smt102

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "View Appraisal Record".

Also on Dupree's residence, the appraisal record has been deleted. Hmmm, makes you wonder why.
Did you notice on one of his properties, the land is classed as farm use? Does that change how it's taxed?
Maggie-Doodle
10-12-2006, 12:29 PM
jmb, YES, I think it does, I think it is cheaper...How can he have farm land in the middle of the city? THAT also makes you wonder wtf is going on!
Also if the land has a house right in the middle of it HOW can it be farmed? something is screwy!

Is that piece of property within the city limits? It would be highly unusual to have property classified as farmland if it is, but it's not unheard of.

It's the one at 127 E. 5th Street.

THEN in that case it should be changed! Maybe someone at the court house reads MH and will check into it! We can always hope! I reckon if I didn't pay full taxes on my place I might could afford a mansion too!
wilebill
10-12-2006, 04:19 PM
Yeah, there's no way anyone could justify classifying that as farm.

Maybe the folks from the HA who read MH will investigate this matter.
It's probably just a mistake, a typo. :smt024

I don't know what kind of farm he is using it for other than for breeding fleas...I do know that while that property was still on the market, a friend and I looked at it to possibly put an orphanage there...at that time the listing price was $130,000 ...I had my daddy, who was a construction superintendent, look at the property, and he said that it would cost at least $130,000 to get the place livable....Anywho...I know that Johnny Dupree ended up getting the place for $80,001, one dollar over the highest bid....My husband worked for the city 17 yrs, and he said that the mayor was using alot of the guys from the city doing the work over there...(on city time)...so maybe he's using it for a city farm.....

The former president of Holmes Community College was convicted recently for using college employees to do work at his house and for using college funds to purchase tires for a personal vehicle.
However, very little is being done to those who steal public funds. See this opinion piece (http://www.clarionledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061012/OPINION/610110381) from yesterday's Clarion Ledger.

Katrina destroyed my pine tree farm around my house. Reckon I could claim my farm was destroyed? Just wondering. Maybe we could get city employees to do repairs on our houses too. Yeah, like that would happen in this lifetime.

HoneyBun, KNOWING the quality of people the city has working in building maintainence I wouldn't want them working on a dog house for me...I would be afraid it would either burn or fall down on my doggy's head! :)

Personally, I don't think I would be caught dead buying that house. I'm sure it will have to be completely disinfected after all his practices.

Makes you wonder about why the Hard Drives were stolen at City Hall. Could it be there were some embezzlements being covered up???? Makes you wonder.
