It would be interesting to know if the Rev. Fairley was in attendance...especially since we havn't seen much of him in the last few weeks.

please ask the mayor and chief if they are alarmed about gangs, why did they disband the N.E.T. now, they have a big revelation that hattiesburg has gangs. why don't you be real men and admit your error that YOUR actions caused this problem. mayor, stop hiding behind the preachers and lead this city back to "where it was before your actions almost destoyed it".

well, he is just trying to cover up his actions.....and by getting other "leaders" involved, he is taking some of the blame off of himself.....
therefore, if his plan doesn't work, he can go back and say that he had all these other people involved and it was thier fault as much as it was his fault, so therefore he doesn't look so bad..............

hold on new orleans, jackson and detroit - hattiesburg is fast approaching you with crime statistics. our leadership does not see how they have contributed to the crime of today. why did they tamper with the police department? i heard that they did not want african americans complaining about brutality, so they CHANGED the police department. this at the hands of some local community activists. all those around him had problems with the law, directly or indirectly - sons, daughters. etc. i am ashamed of our city. in every breakfast nook, the conversation is about how poor our city's leadership is and what is the answer!

Can I still be upset if I don't have a breakfast nook?

Did anyone notice that Rev. Fairley seemed to be absent from the meeting? I watched the newscast very closely several times and I did not see his mug on the camera not once.
Also I believe if he had been there he would have been interviewed and shown sitting close to the mayor, his friend...previously he never missed an opportunty to get his mug before the camera..

I heard he was harvesting his crop on the 5th St. farm.
