I have a reasonable amount of suspicion about land around my family land and something going on. How do I find out what is going on? Not in t he papers and nothing can happen until we decide. We are in the way of it I know. I have been told this. We don't want to sell unless we are offered a whole lot. Sentimental and hang onto it until later.

I am not paranoid but if you had been where i have and talked with all I HAVE you would wonder also. How would you figure it out? I can't ask others who are in it 'cause they're in it. And then again I may not know until it happens.

Any ideas????? Yes, I am curious and I can see where we are in the way. I have had people try to scare me off this area with scenarios and was tempted to sell. But this has been in my family and it is a part of me for now.

How would you find out if you were me? Put on here or pm me. Or both and make pts. for World Series and footaball.

like shady stuff happening? ... or buy out for a development? You should be able to go to your county's / city's building commisioner or permit office, all new constructions should be on the books, if nothing else, in the form of blue prints ...

This is on Vestry Road in George County but right on the edge of Stone County.

I read in the Wiggins paper last week that there is a huge development of houses... supposed to be the nicest subdivision in Mississippi. It's to draw people from the Coast away from the water. Not sure what part of Stone County... you can probably call the Stone County Enterprise.

Stone County is Wiggins, Perkinston and Ramsay Springs. Wiggins has a wal-mart and lots of new eating places and Perkinston-part of MS. Gulf Coast Jr. College where I went yrs. ago.

Stone County is right above Harrison County. 49 takes you to it and the other hwy. is 26 taking you west to Poplarville and east to Lucedale in George County. Lucedale can also be gotten to by 98.

The area I am talking about is out close to University Forest Lands and Broome. Used to be boondocks but is growing. The area is maybe 35 min's from Biloxi and up above Vancleave on 57. But this is maybe 10 miles off 57 and 5 miles off 15.

I heard Wal-Mart was going to buy Stone County, put a roof over it, and turn it into a Superduperbalooka Wal-Mart.

Your friend will also have a baby-sitter if he has kids.

Daisy Stone county is in my experinace very Clanish and tend to hide things somewhat similiar to Jones County.Be careful with land issues and the good-ole-boy Law enforcement.I have lost thousands to people who are ex-bigshots and lots of land as well. Some places justice is as they see it so be careful.People kill for land issues. I know!

Thanks, this is in George County which has nice people but can be more clannish than Stone.

Yes, I have a friend who is a widow of an attorney. He said more killings have been over landlines, whiskey, women and a good birddog. I wonder if I would be as good as a birddog somedays. Guess it depends on what season it is.
