The Petal slowpitch softball team won the state championship yesterday.

They finished the year with a 31-1 record and won 30, yes 30, straight games.

Absolutely I use to watch these young ladies practice year around they are Good,Hard-working and deserve to Be Called "CHAMPIONS"

It was Clarkdale, a 2A team that won their state title as well. But that was the 3rd game of the season. Petal played them in the same weekend that they played the #3 and #4 team in the state (C-dale was #2) and beat all three of them in one weekend.

Thanks Tommy.. Mrs Arnold taught me in 8th grade back many many many years ago.. I have known her now 20+ years and I think the world of her.. I'm glad she finally got that state championship... Way to go Coach Arnold
