Alternate energy ... from chickens? (http://www.hattiesburgamerican.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061024/NEWS01/610240319)
As if it weren't bad enough that there are numerous chicken plants which includes the rendering plant - the smelliest thing next to David Wynn's plan to rid Hattiesburg of crime - but now they're opening a plant which turns chicken farts into energy.
We've known for a long time that smelly chicken stuff can create energy - I always run as fast as I can whenever I go into Collins and the wind is blowing the wrong way. But now they're wanting to turn 2.2 billion pounds of chicken crap created in MS every year into energy. Now if they'd work on the 17 squillion pounds of bull crap generated by the MS legislature every year, they could really make some progress on turning waste into something useful.
Speaking of useless piles of crap, I've heard that Chief Wynn may be applying for the job of production manager since he's got so much experience at generating the type of raw material they're looking for. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
