Okay, here goes:

The way this works is you make your picks, copy and paste and bold the winners or write the winners beside the game.

Upon your posting your picks, you are agreeing to donate $1000 hubbucks to the winner. If you have less than $1000 hubbucks, you are agreeing to donate $100 hubbucks to the winner. If you have less than $100, then you agree to donate $10. The more who play, the bigger the pool, the bigger the winnings.

Here are the games (thanks barrister):

1. Oak Grove v. Jim Hill
2. Hattiesburg v. Natchez
3. Biloxi v. Gulfport

I'll donate $50K to the cause, but my only stipulation is that if you participate in hubba's game you're not eligible to win my contribution.

what's the cutoff time?

We'll make it 7pm tonight... I'll give a 15 minute grace if necessary. That goes for edits, too. No editing your picks after 7:15pm tonight(friday, 3rd) just to be fair to everyone.

I'm relying on people's honesty, Hawkeye...

even if allworth picked the wrong winner in the one he didn't pick, he still would have picked one more game than you...

you want me to barrister edit it to declare the one he didn't pick as a loss so that his pick rate is 14-6? That still makes him the winner by one game...

WTF? Where did you go to school? I'll wait to see what Allworth has to say. Fair Shake? Failure to pick a game should be automatic DQ, especially when the player was notified of the omission, before hand.

WTF, where did YOU go to school??? You can't ADD??? You still LOST, even if he picked the game WRONG??? When you go to vote, and you don't vote in a category, they don't throw your ballot out for not voting for that one. If you take a test, and leave one blank, they count that as wrong. If I apply either of these principles to the situation at hand, allworth STILL wins. Don't be such a sore loser... LMAO!!!

Whatever CB - your ball, your bat, your rules. I think I've seen this kind of shake before. :smt102

LOL, don't throw me in the same boat as barrister... tell you what, you write up the rules, post them or pm them and I'll include them with my next week pool... I don't have time to think out every little senario and think it's silly to have a list of rules that rivals the McDonald's Monopoly rulebook. I assumed that he with the most correct picks one, I guess that's what happens when you assume... LMAO...

I don't see any fishy outcomes... the one with the most correct picks wins... wtf is so confusing about that???

The whole reason for this, if anyone has a long enough memory to remember, was because barrister didn't want to give the money to the new guy, who won. Now, hawkeye's wanting me to give the money to the second place winner because the first guy missed one pick, even though he picked more correct games.

right now, I'm just going to say f*ck it, and be done with it. I tried to offer a fair alternative where the real winner would be the winner, and all participants had something to lose, instead, I get a bunch of bellyaching about fake money... sounds like barrister's picks is where you need to be...

Yes im serious.. you let a member with 5 posts WIN and heck he/she didnt have to pick all the games.. Then we have to pay the winner. WTF... Hubba has a set of rules, no problems have a risen, and it pays more... Are you serious? What did allworth win 5000? Just my opinion yours sucks.

wilebill
11-04-2006, 01:43 PM
Well I for one thought it was a good game, a good pool. Everybody puts up some money so there's more at stake for winning.

I decided to kick in some cash to help get it going. It seemed a lot more fair than the other game, because the other had a lot of stupid rules and not much payout in relation to the person paying.

Besides, hubba won't be around much longer anyway.

sounds like in fuzzis's words "don't get your panties in a wad"...

Hubba made one comment about not paying allworth because he only had one or two posts and was suspect of an alias..

Doesn't matter I'm going to play your thread because Hubba's down to 36 hours and his faith on myhattiesburg looks done...

I'm ready for next weeks picks cbelt.. but I suggest you mention that you must pick all the games..
