Been lurking a few days, motivated to register by Big John's awful cat story so here I am! This looks like another great way to keep from vacuuming the living room, woo-hoo!
Looks like you guys may be a younger crowd, hope there are a few old fuddy, . . . .er, mature types, on board.
I spend a lot of my time reading church blogs watching as my denomination implodes, and reading geneaology sites, the HA, the Times-Picayune (shudder) and various other assorted time wasting computer activities. Goes without saying I stay up too late?

a bientot!

N-H, you can't be more than a semi-fuddy. My kid is more than twice the age of your oldest!
(Middle-age = when the phone rings and you hope it's not for you.)

You tell her to be nice and appreciate you. Even a semi-good husband is hard to find.

you, on the other hand, can bring her coffee

I walked right into that one, didn't I! Not going there, sugar.

Whoa, it is really late -- this has been too much fun. Night y'all!

If that's the definition, then I've been middle aged for a while... I cringe every time the phone rings, and I don't owe any bills...

Don't worry she does and I also appreciate her very much, I just have to jab at her every now and then to keep her on her toes.

I get her coffee all the time and even say "yes mam" when she snaps her fingers.

Ok back to reality now...

Oh, I love HP. A USM friend (and fellow HP fan) brought me a mouse pad from Cambridge -- it's Christ Church Hall, don't know if it's the model for the great Hall in HP, or if they actually filmed there. I envy anybody who got to see all that stuff in the UK. My only trip there was pre-Harry, although I did meet someone on the train platform at Great Malvern who knew C.S. Lewis's teacher, George Sayer.
