Rick Cleveland seems to think so. (http://www.clarionledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061212/COL0504/612120369)
I hadn't thought about it a lot, and wasn't aware of his numbers. I just know the guy is good. But he may be the guy for the award.

I've seen this guy play, and I give a lot of credit to his receivers.

Before this season? Reggie Bush didn't play. I obviously didn't understand the question.

Drew Brees is amazing!! he is such a great leader for this football team and i agree with the idea of him up for MVP - and that just goes to show everyone.....its not pity party this year for the Saints...everyone complained when we beat Atlanta at home saying that it was all emotions and not any skill - this year the Saints have been whipped into shape and are playing like a team.
what i like best about Drew Brees is that he isnt always in the spotlight - he is a genuine guy who knows what this team needs. boy would i love more than anything to see this team go to the superbowl...

Colston is a rookie also, and also is very good. I'm just saying Brees doesn't make anything easy for these guys. I've watched T.O. play and Romo has to make it easy or he's not catching it.

if drew brees can take the saints to the playoffs[looks like he will with a win over the redskins sunday]he has my vote for mvp of the decade...the new orleans saints have never had this caliber of a qaurterback.
