...and I'm looking for some good recommendations for restaurants in the area, other than the big chains. Are there ANY Thai restaurants in H'burg? What about good Chinese food? And I've heard a lot of good things about Leatha's - is it really that good?

Thanks!

Hi!
Leatha's... food is GREAT, very very very LAID BACK atmosphere. If you LOVE Barbecue and good smoked meat, youll love it!

No Thai food UNFORTUNATELY. I love that stuff... but there just any around here that I know of. You might try Sakura if you like sushi though. Itis on 49. http://www.hattiesburg.com/sakura/

Brownstone's Bistro is pretty good, just a little inconsistent with the food quality. I use to work there and loved the atmosphere.

Check out the links to go to other restaraunts here on MH. They have few more i think....

hlauburn, Welcome to the site. Enjoy yourself here, we have a good time! Oh, you may also try Roses Quik Stop on H 49 S. for good smoked meats and barbecue...it is one of my favorites...Donanelli's for steaks & ribs! I like Rayner's, Hwy 49 N. for seafood (especially good fried catfish) with all the trimmings!

It's still there and it is great. Run by a very nice Thai family.

If you can get Community Coffee, crawfish, and good pad thai, you can handle anything!
