Be on the alert...

TJX Companies, the parent organization for retailers T.J. Maxx and Marshall's, has been hit by a wide-reaching security breach (http://www.tjx.com/tjx_message.html) that could potentially leave customers exposed to fraud and identity theft.

The affected transactions date back to 2003. In addition to debit and credit card information, some drivers' license numbers were stolen.

If you receive a new debit card from your bank, it may be because of purchases you made at a TJX Companies store.

In response to the customer data security breach involving stores that include TJ Maxx and Marshall's, Regions Bank has taken the precautionary action of issuing new debit cards (with new card numbers and new PINs) to customers who used the card to make purchases at TJX stores.
