Looks like a dogwood bloom to me.
Dogwood blooms are white or pink. This flower grows on a short bush or shrub and starts with a fo-------. It is blooming now or real soon. Some people call it yellow bells or golden bells. The bloom is smaller than a dogwood and there are more than one on the limb coming out of the shrub.

Another gun? or 2. 1000 hubs for each or 2200 for both to the first correct responder.:smt006
1. Who designed the Obregon pistol?
2. What city was the Obregon pistol manufactured in?
This pistol was manufactured during the mid to late 1930's. Only several thousand were produced. The design relies heavily on the US M1911A1. The gun does have several original features.

Although it looks like a 1911 knock off ,I don't think it functions at all like one.

Its the link hanging from the bottom of the barrel that the slide release/disassembly lever pin holds in place.
It pulls the barrel down so that a new cartridge can be accepted from the magazine.
I'm not sure exaclty what four words you're looking for.

58ford
01-26-2007, 11:33 AM
Revolver.
fewer safeties. catches, slides, releases etc. to have to learn & remember how to use in an emergency.
revolvers don't suffer from spring fatigue in the magazin so are less likely to jam or misfire.
Simple point & shoot operation.
I guess my favorite is my Sig Sauer P220 .45 or maybe my Bushmaster AR-15 or maybe my Heckler + Koch MP-5. I can't decide.
daisy
01-26-2007, 11:41 AM

Not for any points, I just wanted to say my favorite handgun is the 1911a1.
To quote Col. Jeff Cooper, "There are more powerful handguns, there are more acurrate handguns, & there are prettier handguns, but when something that wants to kill you is coming out of the darkness an arms length away, nothing feels better in your hand than a 1911."
That said, if I could only have one gun in the world be a good quality .22 semi automatic rifle.

Thanks for sharing that 58ford. I agree--the feel of the gun has to fit each person. Mine fits me and I know it's some lady's gun a 38 special I think. I went by feel and it is a revolver.
58ford

the feel of the gun has to fit each person.
I agree It's all about feel & comfort.
I've been shooting 1911s since I was a kid.
All the controls of the gun are now so familiar that the entire operation of it are almost subcoscious.
I've got other pistols, & I've tried many more, some that my logical human brain knew were supperior firearms, but that little animal brain isn't confident with any handgun but the 1911. My brother won't use anything but a .357 Smith. My cousins Dave & Chris Both military currently in Iraq Dave (Marine) swears by the Barretta, Chris (Air force) loves his Glock.
We all got to go shooting about a year ago. there was no clearly superior shot, but many tin cans met their maker.

And I am ready. This is a different type of question. I am giving you an honest opinion ? for an average citizen. For example I have a gun in my home and carry it in my car. This is for 10 people. Reserve your spot for 1500 hubs. Essay ? If you want this post mine with your name Adv and disadvantages of an average citizen having a carry permit to carry anywhere. Deadline by Wednesday night Don't have to put your name the post does it--I forgot.
I know there is a permit where someone is allowed to carry. I have concerns and can see some benefits for the average person. Someone who does not have law enforcement experience and regular training target shooting. I would like to hear your opinion on the above aimed toward a regular citizen. Your concerns and fears and also the benefits. also any experiences with any of this.
I know this can take time and some type faster than others and give glib answers and some will think it out or share a previous thought out opinion.
To ease the pressure off this part just sign in and say --I'll take it and you have until Wednesday night to get it done and posted on here. 1500 hubs for those that dare this?
For example if I want to do it, I would sign in and say Mine -Daisy and then post it. I would then go back at my leisure and do it by Wednesday night.
