Real easy.
I'll post the picture of a critter.
First one to identify it gets.......
You guessed it....A DONUT!!!!!
First Critter:
This fuzzy tailed little fella is exclusively a termite eater. He scoops them up with his long sticky tounge. He is so adapted to this diet that although he has 52 teath that are all different in size & shape his jaw configuration, & musculature make him totally unable to chew!

58ford
01-26-2007, 03:41 PM
It's a mammal, but totally unrelated to the armadillo.
they are slow moving & have poor eyesight, but when endangered they roll in a ball and through a strong & complex musculature they can vibrate their scales back & forth like an electric carving knife, so obliously they have few predators.

58ford
01-26-2007, 05:56 PM
Nope.
You got the eastern right, but this is distinct & rare species.
They are endangered. They are colorfully marked as juveniles but darken to a chocolate brown or black as the age. amount of color change is dictated by the area in which they are found which includes Ontario, Canada, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri.

The bite's bad enough, but the way it rots out & doesnt heal for months is what really sucks.

I'm gonn a take a couple of more guesses then I'm gonna move on.
Back in the 1970's geneticists experimented with combining species & came up with creatures like the Leopon (leopard/lion) & the Liger (lion/tiger) they these invented animals after this mythological creature.

IS it an Aye-Aye (Daubentoniamadagascariensis)!!!!???????
The Aye-aye is a lemur (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemur) native to Madagascar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madagascar) that combines rodent (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodent)-like teeth with a long, thin middle finger to fill the same ecological niche of a woodpecker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodpecker). It is the world's largest nocturnal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nocturnal) primate, and is characterized by its unique method of finding food; it taps on trees to find grubs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grub), then gnaws holes in the wood and inserts its elongated middle finger to pull the grubs out.
