Woman, 65, saves husband from mountain lion

Wildlife officials on Thursday credited a woman with saving her husband's life by clubbing a mountain lion that attacked him while the couple hiked in a California state park.

I saw that and he looked horrible but is alive. He had punctured lungs and something happened to his scalp.

This man was lucky to be with his quick-thinking wife who grabbed a 4 inch log to beat the lion off and the man was doing good to tell her about the pen in his pocket to hit its eyes. I also think the lady was smart to urge him on to find a hiding place and get more logs to hit it with until help came from the ranger.

Who says Senior Citizens are frail and helpless. I admire a Granny that can whip a Mountain lions arse!<O:p</O:p

On Fox they interviewed the lady who saved her husband from mountain lion. She said she pounded it with a tree branch of 3-4 inches diameter with no luck. The husband said grab the pen out of my pocket and stab it in the eyes. She did and the pen broke.

The lady went back to the limb and whacked the cat in the head and then waved the limb over her head and screamed. The cat looked at it as the cat pulled its ears back and then left.

The husband is able to eat soft food now.
