Here's a list of the Top 10 Superbowl MVPs named by Sports Illustrated. Are these the top 10 you would have listed? Go to this site to see photos and stats, reasons why they were selected http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/0701/gallery.nfl.superbowlmvp/content.10.html

10 - John Riggins (Superbowl SVII - 1/30/1983)
9 - Kurt Warner (Superbowl XXXIV - 1/30/2000)
8 - Doug Williams (Superbowl XXII - 1/31/1988
7 - Joe Namath (Superbowl III - 1/12/1969)
6 - Phil Simms (Superbowl XXI - 1/25/1987)
5 - Joe Montana (Superbowl XXIV - 1/28/1990)
4 - Lynn Swan (Superbowl X - 1/18/1976)
3 - Marcus Allen (Superbowl XVIII - 1/22/1984)
2 - Jerry Rice (Superbowl XXIII - 1/22/1989)
1 - Steve Young (Superbowl XXIX - 1/29/1995)

Hard to judge who was better than who. However, I would move Namath closer to #1 because of the bold predicition he made, and I can't believe Elway's last performance is not on the list.

I agree. The 1st 2 Super Bowls had been romps in the park for the NFL and Super Bowl #3 was being envisioned to be even more of one. The Colts were undefeated that year and were being hyped as possibly the greatest NFL team ever. It was even questioned whether they could be beaten. Namath assured everybody that they could be and guaranteed that the Jets would do it. He just didn't talk a good game, but proved that the Jets and the AFL were truly equal with the NFL by then beating the unbeatable Colts. And Namath was pivotal in that defeat. It didn't take long afterwards for the 2 football leagues to merge into one. It was a great game.

I'm getting my 'supplies' later in the week.

Think I'm going with beer, boiled peanuts and nachos.

People are predicting a Colts rout of the bears, however, I just don't believe it will happen. I've been wrong before, but I just don't see a rout. I think it will be a high scoring and explosive game. I think it will go back and forth right down to the last play. Nobody REALLY likes a rout in the superbowl. Its fun to watch in regular season play.

I don't believe it either. I think that it will be a close game, but I think that Indy is going to most likely win.
