I've had coyotes run across the road in front of me twice since I've lived in this area. Not as scary as a deer, but unsettling.

The coyote can also kill calves when the mother is birthing and maybe the mother???? They are vulnerable then. I know some people have donkeys to protect their cattle and they do a good job of keeping out intruders.

my dad got a donkey to do the same thing. The donkey was trying to be the bull. So my father don't have Sparky the donkey any longer.

One of my most favorite memories of my Grandpa C was getting up early on the weekends (Grandpa probably hadn't gone to bed) to go with him and the dog (a border collie mix) roaming around the country-side listening to the cb as the hunters were chasing the coyotes.
