I caught some heat recently for saying David Beckham will be bad for soccer in America (in much the same way Pele was 'bad' for American soccer). Is it better to call in aging ringers to play in the league to heighten its profile or better to grow local talent in the national spotlight that will shock the world at the next world cup (after we own Mexico next year)? I'd rather see Americans become invested in local talent with superior coaching (Bruce, it was waay past time to move on), than have fans become disinterested because the product is no longer "American." I think the NBA risks alienating its fan base for similar reasons (plus rising ticket prices).

What say ye?

It will make no difference whatsoever - I can almost assure you of that!

I'll watch it until I fall asleep. Much like I do with NASCAR and Golf!
