Does anyone know how or if it's possible to copy an entire column in an Access Database. For example... if I am entering a gazillion entries that each have "Arts & Letters" as one of the column entries... is there a way that I can make that just copy in the all of the columns without having to press "copy" and then "paste" in to each one individually?
Thanks.

if you're familiar with VB scripting, or anything like that? I think you can also do some kind of query/update thing.

yeah, see that's the problem... that entire sentence is pretty much over my head. I'm not exactly a computer girl. I'm doing a database for work and each person that we are tracking counts as an entry. Some of the info is different for each person, but a great deal is the same for everyone. I was hoping for an easy way out other than having to type the same things over and over and over. I'm on entry 3,036 and it's like pulling teeth to make myself do any more of it!

Can you set up your input form to have a default value? It won't help you go back and fix what you've already entered (if that's what you're doing) but you won't have to keep entering it for new records.

where are you wanting to copy the information? If its back inti another area of the DB then just setup a matching record in another column. If its somewhere else then export the records as an excel spreadsheet and have fun...
