Any of you insiders have any "scoop" on how the meeting between Bower and Easterling went? Haven't figured this whole drama out yet.

No news on 'DAM about Easterling tonight. Where are all the USM guys?
But get this, E-Daddy: Garry Pack - former OG star and Mississippi High School Player-of-the-Year and starter at LB at Ole Miss, dismissed from Ole Miss squad for marijuana use, arrested just last week again for possession in Hburg, signed with University of West Alabama today.
Life goes on!

This thing is weird! I know he pissed Bower and Co. off by not signing on signing day, but something more personal must have happened for the Eagles to keep this kid hanging on like this.
Someone made a good, but sad, point to me the other day. None of the OG football "stars" ever really blossom on the college level. I've got some theories on that, but not really sure why that is.
I hope Pack does well at UWA. One things is for sure...he can smoke all the weed he wants in Livingston. Nobody will ever know!

In the modern day OG era (the Barr years), Matt Mandich at Arkansas State is probably going to end up making the most of his college years. This Easterling guy is big-time. I think Florida State "screwed up him" and wanted to keep him "dangling" through signing day in case they lost one or more. He got "stars in his eyes" like a lot of kids do. I hope Bower takes him. Don't know if you saw it, but Pearl River CC must have signed 10 from Oak Grove!

Easterling is a much better baseball player than football player anyway. He'll be drafted this year. Bower's just making an example of him. The kid screwed up. He's always thought he's better than he actually is.
By the way, Pack got out of the drug charges.

How many of you guys have ever actually seen him play baseball?? I have several times.
The one in this area to be drafted will be the Fairley kid at George Co and Easterling is no where close to him.

I've seen Easterling. His last year at Magee, I saw him hit 92 on the gun. He's potentially a better pitcher than Fairley but Fairley can just flat out play ball. Fairley is the best all around baseball player in MS in my opinion.
