Interesting page about Digital Rights Management and what it may mean for PC performance.

Not so sure I agree with all the predictions - the author assumes nothing will be changed if suddenly movies can't be played and high-end entertainment systems are disabled, while I am pretty sure there would be a rapid scramble to open things back up.

whoa, now that's some slam against Vista! As much as ziff-davis and that grp are expounding on it's capabilities, it's good to get the low down on what Vista isn't including. Thanks!

If, and it's a big IF, all that he predicts does come to pass, I think the majority of folks would find an OS that does what they need - runs the PC. They would watch their movies on their DVD player.

Somebody from Disney was quoted as saying that if the consumer was aware of DRM, they had failed.
