Petal Indoor Percussion

The Petal High School Indoor Percussion group won their first meet of the year last night in Tupelo. They competed against four other schools. The Indoor Guard took third place in their competition. Congrats to all.

Petal will hosting a meet on March 23rd. It's something to see these young men and women do their show. Indoor percussion is the marching band drum line and pit performing a choreographed show. The Petal group did very well last night, especially that Jake kid. :smt038

The Petal Percussion Ensemble competes in the state finals this weekend at Holmes Comm. College. Good Luck guys.

Here is a link to a youtube video from the Pensacola competition. This is just a portion of the show, they had not learned all of it at that point. It's really something to watch these kids. They've worked really hard since January.

I just talked to my nephew (he plays cymbals in the Petal Indoor Percussion Ensemble - PIPE for short?) He said it was one of their better performances. Way to go Petal.
