I had download at 44 kb/s and upload at 295 kb/s. I sucked worse than everyone. Kinda figured since I'm out in the sticks.

This is with Comcast. Is this good? Why does my computer often run so slowly? Yesterday I needed to restart the computer a couple of times while I was on the internet. I think maybe Comcast should check this for me.Holy crap. Yeah, that's good. How much do you pay for that? You may have other trhings running in the background that slows your comp down or alot of other applications on at the same time, but that download speed is smokin.

That is really pretty good for dial-up.

toshiba satelite 1.2gb celeron 512 ram 40 gb HDD

built in WIFI and 10.100 ethernet......

i'm getting the same connection speeds thru wireless as well as thru the 10/100 going direct from the modem to the PC

just called comcast, and they just did a hard reboot on my modem- hopefully that fixed my connectivity problems.......going to test speed now...........

wait about 3 hours before you test your speed, after a hard reset, it takes a little while for the modem to propagate to its peak speed.
