The FDA has approved an anti-carsick medication for dogs. (http://www.usatoday.com/news/offbeat/2007-02-28-carsick-dogs_x.htm)

Yay! No more barfing Sydney on road trips.

My first WFT used to get deathly ill when she was riding in the car...made for a big mess when we would head out to dog shows...I would give her a half of a tablet that was used for people...can't remember the name right now...that is what my vet suggested...it helped some so I was happy...we never had any problems from her taking it.

Boy did she indoctrinate me...I will never forget...we picked her up from the breeder in N.O. rode all the way back to Picayune...she did fine the whole 50 miles home...just as we drove into the drive way, she made this funny little sound and that was it...barf all down the front of me and in my lap...it was summer and I had shorts on....NOT a pretty sight...after that we were pretty much inseperable! :) My hubby still laughs at me over that one! nahla and kramer are both fine in the car. love it and jump right in when the door is opened. kramer is a litte leary when we start to actually drive. just sits down. no sickness though.
