It looks like I am heading to the Dallas/Fort Worth area on business for a few days next month. Is anyone familiar with the area? Is there anything in particular that I should put on my "must see" or "must do" list while I am there?

Southfork! :) LOL!!! I'm sorry, a fit just overtook me!
The only thing right off that I can think of is the Galleria. That is if you like to shop!

Dearest Brotha Tully Mars,
RevranAL has driven through/around DAL/FW several times enroute to Colorado for elk hunts, but I cannot help you with anything in that area.
However, if you need help around the Houston/Galveston area, just let RevAL know. I'm out there on a regular basis. Have a safe trip..
Glory Be!

If you're flying American Airlines, be careful. I got stuck there for 22 hours when my plane was overweight. I had a board pass and seat assignment, and I had to spend the night at a cheap Ramada Inn. It seems that the demand for seats from DFW / JAN far exceeds the supply.

I spent 3 days in Dallas once and couldn't find anything interesting. I did love the buildings though, and that's right up your ally Tully. When I got back though I looked through a few sites and found several different spots that I could have gone too. Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dallas,_Texas) might have some things of interest.

not to completely hijack your thread, but since we're talking business travel, and I'm traveling with my business to the Bahamas, is there anything to do in Grand Turk or Nassau that doesn't involve beaches, water, or gambling or cheesy pirate stuff?

I am not nearly as bothered by the fact that you are hijacking my thread than by the fact that I am going to Fort Worth, Texas and you are getting to go the the Bahamas. Life just ain't fair.
Sounds like fun CB, I hope you have a good trip.

If it means an open bar and no seasickness, I'll trade with you... I'm sure it would make my wife happy... seriously...
I've read thread on cruise boards about the ports, and save for John Glenn's splashdown a few miles from Grand Turk, nothing exciting happens there except for the cruise ships coming into port...
I can't wait for the strawmarketeers to start yelling at me "hey, big guy, big guy, c'mere, c'mere, I got your size" while holding up this shirt that would fit 3 of me in it... embarrasing and funny, all at the same time...

Here are two noway approved (www.venusroom.com) activities, niether one (www.pandorasmensclub.com) are work safe.
There are, however, some brewpubs (http://ericsbeerpage.com/Beer/Brewpub/Texas/dallas.html) you might want to check out to taste the local flavor...

I recommend visiting the Sixth Floor Museum and Dealey Plaza (including the infamous grassy knoll) in downtown Dallas.
The museum is a self-guided tour, so you can spend as little or as long as you'd like there.
The museum is within walking distance of Union Station and the Reunion Tower.

QM, I thought about trying to find Anna's gravesite, but am unsure if it's actually on the same island that Nassau is on...
